Based in bustling the South Manchester suburb of Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Jasmine is a charming Lebanese restaurant focused on serving authentic Middle Eastern dishes, cooked to a very high standard. This casual restaurant prides itself on its impeccable service and use of incredibly fresh ingredients, yet all the food on offer is incredibly reasonably priced. This makes Jasmine is an ideal spot for a relaxed lunch or dinner with both friends and family.
Jasmine may have been serving the local community for a number of years now, but its interiors still look slick and modern. The muted colour scheme gives the dining room a bright and airy feel, while the odd framed picture on the wall provides a touch of added character. At the far end of the restaurant sits a small bar while tables covered with white paper table cloths fill the rest of the space.
Packed with Middle Eastern delights, Jasmine's menu is a mish-mash of small plates which can be shared, and a selection of larger dishes. Expect cold starters including stuffed vine leaves and olives, while there is also a range of different dips available. These include everything from hummus and babaghanouj, to more unusual offerings such as mutable and mouhamara, and all come with bread to mop up any remains. There are also hot starters on the menu such as fuls madames and grilled halloumi.
Kebabs form the majority of the main course menu, with options including shish kebab and kofta kebab; however there are other dishes also on offer, such as moussaka, sea bass steak, and lamb chops. A short dessert list features favourites like baklava and Turkish delight. In terms of drinks, Jasmine allows you to bring your own booze, which is another real perk in terms of keeping the bill inexpensive, but also offers a selection of soft drinks.
