Hyde & Company is hidden just off the Clifton Triangle in Bristol, and is marked as one of the city's original speakeasy bars. With classic knowledge of cocktails, Hyde & Co. have brought classic American style to the heart of Bristol. Known for its award winning creative drinks, top notch customer service, and a vibe reminiscent of the cool cocktail joints in New York City, Hyde & Co. has been a staple in Bristol’s cocktail scene since it first opened its doors back in 2010.
The menu kicks off with The Sound of Thunder, a cocktail that is fresh, citric and 12% abv, available in non alcoholic form, too. This cocktail is made using Four Pillars Olive Leaf, Aperol, Aperitivo Co Gentian, and orange and rosemary soda. For something more dry with a sparkle, order the Endless Waters, a blend of Hendrick's, homemade akvavit, Telmont Reserve Brut, cucumber and green coffee. If you prefer your cocktails more bright, sweet and tropical, order the Small Fortune, which also comes in a sharer for six if you like the taste. This drink is mixed up using Ming River, Koko Kanu, guava, peanut, green strawberry and Edible Fortune. Something pretty strong at 18% abv, the Ideometer Phenomenon is a blend of La Hechicera, Smith & Cross, Pimento Dram, pomegranate, lime and ouja.
There are lots of fun events frequently held at Hyde & Co., from parties to cocktail masterclasses. For many years gone by, the bar has hosted an incredible New Year's Eve bash that is just the spot to ring in the new year with a group of your loved ones, some fab music and delicious cocktails flowing (of course, it’s fizz at midnight).
