The menu begins with classic starters, like the goulash soup made with a rich paprika base, diced beef fillet, potatoes, vegetables, plenty of spices, and served with homemade egg dumplings, bread and hot paprika cream on the side. Other starters include the baked aubergine cream, salami cold plate, and sliced melon with Hungarian smoked ham roses, sziv sonka and salad garnish.
Main courses are always served as a complete meal with potatoes or rice, salad and sauces. Choose from the bakonyi style chicken cooked in a rich and creamy paprika and mushroom bacon sauce, with egg dumplings or roast potato and plenty of sour cream, or the grilled sea bass fillet and deep fried mild Hungarian cheese.
Between 5 and 7pm Monday through to Friday, there is an early bird set menu on offer. Enjoy two courses consisting of the chef's homemade chicken liver pate with caramelised onions and butter, stuffed cabbage with prime minced pork, rice and spices, wrapped in sauerkraut leaves, and homemade vegetable stew with Hungarian sausages.
