Hillfield at Pennyhill Park in Bagshot is a British restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner from its modern and airy location on the Pennyhill Park Estate. The menu is inspired by locally sourced ingredients, with a focus on provenance and traceability of all produce. Hillfield at Pennyhill Park pays particular attention to sustainability and works alongside many local farmers to ensure it can bring ethical, sustainable practices to the kitchen.
Open all day every day, there are dedicated menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a Sunday lunch offering and a separate bar menu. Those visiting Hillfied for dinner will dine from the a la carte menu, which changes seasonally, but might include things like smoked mackerel pâté with stout and black treacle soda bread, Hill House farm smoked ham hock, chicken and duck liver terrine with Surrey chorizo jam, and South coast sea bream with crispy seaweed potato, minted peas and warm tartar sauce.
There is also a grill section on the menu which offers a range of quality beef and pork cuts, from fillet of beef to dry aged cote de boeuf. If you opt for one of the grill options, you can choose from a range of sides to pair with it, such as truffle mashed potato, Old Winchester cauliflower cheese with smoked bacon, and skin-on fries.
Do note that the a la carte menu is only available in the evening. If you’re visiting in the day, there is an all-day bar menu which includes a range of light bites, soups and sandwiches, salads and mains that cater for any occasion. This is served in the bright and airy bar area, which offers all the charm of a classic country local, albeit with a sophisticated twist. An afternoon tea menu is also available here, although bookings are required in advance.
