Highland Restaurant is a modest but lively steak house that plates up fresh cuts of meat, seafood and Greek dishes. The family-run restaurant has been serving its customers for the last thirty years who thrive off of its welcoming nature. Walking into the homely restaurant, you’re greeted by farmhouse style décor with greys, whites, browns and reds making a feature. The walls are decorated in wood panelling, cow skins and silver-finished cow skulls to set the mood.
Pop by for lunch or dinner service every weekday from 12pm and 6pm respectively. Saturdays are dinner only and you can pick something off the set menu for Sunday lunches. The vast menu brings together European cuisine with prime cut steaks, offering customers plenty of choices for their meals. The restaurant also has set menus for special occasions, giving diners a variety of reasonable three-course meal options. Customers have been frequenting the Highland Restaurant for years and always come back for more tasty dishes and the friendly service.
Favourites on the menu include the homemade chicken liver paté for a starter option which is served with toast. Steaks steal the show for mains with the Steak Diane standing out: flame grilled in a deliciously creamy brandy and mushroom sauce or try out the chef’s decadent recommendation of Tournedo Rossini Fillet steak served on fried bread topped with paté and brandy sauce. Alternatively, you can enjoy lamb cutlets, Scotch salmon or a Greek dish of Chicken Souvlakia. Be sure to have a look at the dessert menu for the perfect ending to a hearty meal.
Monday and Tuesday nights are a hit with the themed evenings. Depending on the week, Highland Restaurant offers diners a choice of meals at a set price of £11. Visit for a steak, burgers and ribs night, steak and lobster, fish or Greek night and dive into what is on the set menu. There is also a regularly rotating schedule of live entertainment, including soul, motown and RnB party nights, as well as performances by tribute bands.
