For over three decades, Henry’s has remained an integral part of Cardiff's vibrant bar scene, testament to quality and tradition. With an impressive selection of food and an extensive selection of cocktails, wines, craft beers, and local brews, the laid-back ambiance at Henry’s creates an inviting atmosphere, whether unwinding after work or sipping on post-theatre cocktails.
Within Henry’s, you’ll find a variety of live musical performances, ensuring there's always something to entice you through its doors. If you’re in town for a Welsh rugby game, you won’t want to skip past Henry’s - the lively atmosphere and TVs playing sport make for the perfect venue. The food menu begins with a healthy offering of starters, which are perfect for sole consumption, or ordering a few to share amongst the table. Why not try the grilled chicken marinated in a mango, chilli and pineapple dressing, southern-fried chicken goujons served with a deliciously sticky BBQ sauce, or the crispy coated prawns and panko coated calamari strips. The sharing selections include baked camembert with red onion chutney and toasted bloomer bread, a house sharer packed with meaty favourites, and nachos smothered with melting mozzarella and Cheddar, jalapeños, salsa, guacamole, sour cream and sweet and sour red onion. You'll find plenty of scrumptious home comforts on the menu, too, including a delicious beef pie of the day topped with golden pastry and rich beef gravy, duck breast served with crushed baby potatoes, roasted peppers and a mango, chilli and pineapple dressing, ale flavoured sausages and mash, and a signature hunter's chicken with deliciously sticky BBQ sauce.
The evening set menu is available between Monday and Thursday from 4pm, and includes the option of either two or three courses. The Sunday best offers hearty roasts served with buttery mash, crispy roast potatoes, golden Yorkshire puddings and lashings of beef gravy with parsnips, carrots, cabbage, sugar snap peas and broccoli - phew. Every roast also includes bottomless roasties, Yorkshire puddings and gravy. There are plenty of spritz and cocktails on the menu, including the option of an Aperol tree to share with three of your loved ones. But you’ll also find the classic Margarita, Old Fashioned, Tom Collins and Espresso Martini on the menu.
