Putting the word ‘heavenly’ in the title of your dessert bar is a bold choice, but Heavenly Desserts lives up to the hype. This unique brand provides an extensive range of luxury, high-quality desserts that are all individually ‘made with love’.
Initially established in 2008, Heavenly Desserts has exploded and expanded both nationally and internationally, now occupying sites in almost every UK city. The branches offer the same menu, offering a sense of comforting familiarity in every location, as well as allowing chefs across the franchise to perfect recipes.
Heavenly Desserts Castleford is housed on the ground floor of Xscape, a recreation centre offering a number of different family-friendly day out activities, making it the perfect place to recharge and energise after a long day of laser tag, indoor skiing, and mini golf. Sugary treats and fun presentation mean that it’s an ideal family spot.
The vast menu is a sumptuous mix of comfort food and creative concoctions. The staples of the menu are waffles (American or Belgian) and light fluffy pancakes, each topped with every topping you can imagine- think tiramisu torte, or raspberry and white chocolate chip cookie dough.
There are also some trendy desserts such as mochi and the innovative croffle, a waffle made with croissant dough, as well as classic cheesecakes, sundaes and crumbles. Be sure to check out some of the signature dishes- the ‘secret sensations’ comprising raspberries, white chocolate gelato and Belgian white chocolate is a particular highlight.
The Heavenly Desserts menu has a strong focus on inclusivity and caters to a wide range of people. Not only are there vegan and gluten-free options, there’s an entirely separate 34-page vegan and gluten-free menu, offering a delicious dining experience almost exactly the same as the main menu. Additionally, the entire menu is halal.
