Located in the heart of Camden Market, Ester is a neighbourhood bar and bottle shop, providing an idyllic spot for anything from a casual lunch time drink or an afterwork spot for a Spritz or two. Exposed brick walls, high-top tables with plush seating and foliage-adorned ceilings are all part of the package, creating a neutral and relaxing backdrop. But that's not all, with a large, hanging disco ball that brings the space to life in the evening.
Tables here represent those in a traditional longhouse, with large communal tables that can seat up to 18 people. Elsewhere, you'll find a terrace boasting more seating, the perfect al fresco spot to enjoy a tipple on a summer's day.
Open seven days a week, Ester offers drinks selections to cater to all tastes. With options to drink in or takeaway, thanks to the onsite bottle shop. Guests can choose between local beers, wines and, of course, a pretty extensive selection of cocktails. There’s also non-alcoholic options if that’s more your style. All your favourite classic drinks are on offer, with others offering their own Ester twist. Enjoy a strawberry and cream negroni made with gin, strawberry vermouth, bitters and cream, for example, with other options such as the frozen blood orange margarita, made with tequila, cointreau and double citrus.
Ester is all about unfussy foods. Menus here offer a selection of apero snacks and small plates to accompany your tipples. Bar snacks can include the likes of smoked almonds, truffle crisps and fried chilli corn. Elsewhere, you can tuck into various small plates. Why not try the likes of fried chorizo with hot honey, prosciutto and melon with black pepper and olive oil, or hummus with beetroot, pita and olive oil? The perfect light bites for sharing over a couple of drinks.
