El Pescador can be found in the beautiful Old Marina Meridian Wharf in Swansea. With stunning views of the marina, you won't believe that you're in Wales — especially if you’re visiting on a sunny day, you could almost imagine that you’re somewhere along the Mediterranean. The food here is crafted by skilled chefs who work with a network of local businesses each day in order to get the best possible produce that they can for their customers. Whilst most of the dishes will take you on a journey to Spain, using traditional and authentic products, methods and dishes, you'll find plenty of Welsh touches.
The set menu is served every day during select times, and gives customers the option of either enjoying two or three courses. To start, enjoy the grilled sardines served with a green mojo sauce, or the calamari stripes that are lightly fried with a homemade aioli for a taste of the nearby sea. The duck and pork liver pate with orange and cognac, topped with caramelised onion, is another of the delicious starters that you can try. For your main, try the vegan ravioli stuffed with peas and mint on a bed of piquillo pepper sauce, or the tagliatelle marinara served with seafood and a rich tomato sauce. For a dining out classic, order the flat iron steak with peppercorn sauce, or slow roasted lamb parcel in a red rioja wine and rosemary sauce.
Desserts and cocktails are sweet and delicious, from the Spanish style rice pudding with torched sugar top and ube ice cream, or the Valencian orange cake that has been soaked with an orange scented syrup and topped with a warm chocolate sauce. Cocktails include the Pink Lady with raspberry vodka, orange juice and grenadine, and Sweet Canarian that is shaken up with Artemi Canarian honey rum, lime, pineapple and egg whites.
