Located just between St. Albans and Hemel Hempstead, The Centurion Club is a golf club that puts its members at its heart and offers delightful dining to those who visit. Over the years, the Centurion Club has developed a community feel that offers visitors a relaxed space to enjoy a delicious meal and refreshing drink – whether after a full 18 or if you’re just popping in to meet friends. Dining at Centurion Club is a wonderful experience, and you'll be welcomed into the warm surroundings by head chef Calvin Hill and his team.
For starters, try the roasted plum tomato soup with rosemary emulsion, the aubergine mille feuille with aubergine purée and harissa mayo, or tempura cauliflower with coconut cream, pickled cucumber and coriander chutney. Other options include the burrata with marinated courgette and asparagus salad, wild garlic pesto and linseed cracker, and smoked duck liver parfait with pan fried brioche, blood orange butter and candied pecans.
If you want something unique, try the ham, egg and chips – Centurion style. Next up is your main, and there are some fantastic options on the menu. Enjoy the roasted carrot marrowbone with pistachio crumb, tarragon emulsion and charred stem broccoli, or salmon fillet with roasted hasselback potatoes, charred baby leek, pea puree and butter sauce. If you fancy something a bit more indulgent, try the roasted lamb rump with lamb ragu, fondant potato, carrot marrowbone and crumbled feta, or the beef fillet with potato terrine, tomato compote, crispy onion rings and truffle mayo.
For dessert order the strawberry and elderflower cream mille feuille with strawberry sorbet, a caramelised pineapple cake with vanilla ice cream, or the chocolate and caramel tart with pistachio ice cream. If you're dining with a loved one, order the berry compote pavlova for two to share.
