Classic black & white building that’s a Ludlow institution, this is less of a tea room & more of a fully fledged industry – there’s a baker’s shop, B&B & a restaurant as well.
Everyone is lured from the pavement by the fresh baked good displayed in the window & afternoon tea is something of a speciality, you can even have it for lunch, whether a scone & fancy
cake (£8.25), or a full-blown cream tea (£9.75) that teams clotted cream with the scones, & replaces the fancy with a fresh cream cake or pastry. Bread for sandwiches & all the cakes,
including an excellent stollen & fine teacakes, are made on the premises – the rest is sourced as locally as possible. There are light lunches, a well priced wine list & when you’ve
finished, you can pop into the shop for more food.
