The essentials are very good, the desserts are sensational
Went there for the first time with (adult) daughter after a show at The Albert Hall. Loved the atmosphere and decor, warm, mellow, dark wood, low lighting. Service was friendly and prompt.
I had the veal ragu and loved it – rich tomato-based sauce, interesting spicing, meat was tender not dry.. I cook this dish regularly at home, and this was better. My daughter had sea bass, and was not so convinced, found it dry and rather uninteresting, and it was quite expensive. People at the next table were raving about the pizzas. Came to the conclusion that it would probably be best to stick to pasta and pizza next time.
The desserts – baked chocolate, and cheesecake – were sensationally good. Excellent wine list, decent espresso (as you would expect), nice people. Will definitely go back there and recommend it.
