Crab & Lobster

SquareMeal Review of Crab & Lobster

With Pagham Harbour’s nature reserve on its doorstep, the venerable Crab & Lobster reels in punters with an attractive mix of local treats, friendly ambience & surrounds that combine thick walls & fireplaces with a degree of minimalist modernity. Leek soup, Golden Cross baked goats' cheese with local vine tomatoes & pan-fried Cornish sardines with black olive butter attest to keen sourcing, which extends to Gloucester Old Spot with crackling & Sussex roast sirloin of beef at Sunday lunch. Naturally, Selsey crab makes an appearance too, as well as a good selection of local cheeses. Service aims to please, as does a wine list with plenty of options by the glass. Its popularity makes booking advisable. To get there, take the A27 towards Chichester then follow the B2145 to Selsey.

7.90 for a pint of beer and a coke' 28.00 for two open sandwiches! Bar staff who look down their nose at you (I probably earn 10 times their wage!) forget the Crab and Lobster, find another local pub their all reasonably priced with decent food and friendly staff! Rubbish Expensive and seriously needs new management with people skills,!
