Cote Cardiff Review 25. 03. 2023

I visited Cote Cardiff on Saturday 25th March with a couple of friends.

We had chosen Cote following a visit to Cote Bath before Christmas where the food and service was exemplary.

I'm sorry to say that whilst service was good, it's our view that the courses were rushed, hardly having finished one course before the next was served, the standard of food was not to that we had previously experienced in Bath, pate wet rather than of a firm texture and chutney watery.

Cote is not a fast food restaurant and should not be managed as such.

I / we will not be visiting again any time soon.

Owners/managers (not staff who were professional) need to give some consideration to its vision and what it really wants to demonstrate to its customer base.

Kind regards.

Unhappy Diner

On the 6th September 2022, I ordered a French Casserrole as a main on the 2 meal menu, along with a pudding. However,  the main dish when it arrived at the table was nothing like the French Casserrole I was expecting. It looked and tasted like a normal British Sunday roast along with vegetables (without any significent flavour/taste). Furthermore, my Sweet did not arrive either, despite, alerting the staff. My friend had slightly better luck with her main food and starter, but was not impressed overall. When we spoke to a gentleman who we understood to be the manager, he explained the casserrole was their take on the French version!!!

Will not be returning to the restaurant anytime soon.
