Found in Hotel Indigo in the heart of Coventry, Cogs Restaurant offers a unique dining experience as well as a cosy bar and lounge that works as the perfect spot for a couple of after work drinks.
Stylish interiors offer a glamorous, yet relaxed, backdrop. Sit against the neutral interiors, boasting olive and navy plush seating alongside muted leather booths. Antique decor comes in the form of old clocks, suitcases which hang from the ceilings and even a penny farthing displayed on the restaurant's walls. An abundance of potted plants add a vibrant splash of green that helps to bring the space to life.
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, you can find something to eat no matter the time of day. A brunch menu is served seven days a week, offering buttermilk pancakes with crispy bacon and maple syrup, and shakshuka served with toasted breads.
On the a la carte, you’ll find delicately plated British cuisine. Start your evening with cured Scottish salmon served with pickled fennel and heritage potato salad, or beetroot tartare with a chilli mango mousse. For mains, you’ll find the likes of braised pulled beef with a celeriac and salsify puree, and chicken breast with a confit leg bon bon, roast fig and enoki mushrooms.
Come Sunday, guests can tuck into a classic roast, offering slow cooked beef, herb marinated lamb or honey and lemon chicken which all come served with all the trimmings. There's even the option to upgrade to an indulgent two- or three-course feast.
On the drinks front you’ll find a vast selection of craft beers and ciders and extensive cocktail menus. The star of the show, however, comes in the form of the Wine Wall which invites guests to choose their favourite tipple from an interactive screen in a ‘tech-meets-taste’ experience that you don't find at many restaurants. It's these playful touches that makes Cogs Restaurant a delightful way to spend an evening.
