Italian cuisine is made up of just a few basic ingredients that create the delicious dishes we all know and love today. At Carluccio’s, the team likes to stick to this well-known approach to create the tastiest dishes from all over Italy. You’ll find all your favourites on this menu, but you’ll also find some exciting dishes from regions of Italy you may not have tried before.
The menu changes seasonally, so you’ll be able to try something different every time you visit. Expect to find swordfish muddica with seasonal veg and lamb gremolata alongside the classics such as mushroom risotto, seafood linguine and carbonara (done the Italian way).
The chef’s special menu also features dishes from different areas of Italy so you can try a host of dishes that stray from the stereotypical. For starters, you can have the prawns grigliati, whereas for mains, the Vitello al Limone – a veal escalope with lemon sauce and Swiss chard – is a good dish to go for.
To finish you’re Italian feast, make sure you order a dessert. Go for an Italian type to keep to the theme and get the panna cotta or monte viso – soaked panettone with ice cream and a meringue. Not got a sweet tooth? The Formaggi cheeseboard with a selection of Italian cheeses is a great option then.
All the cocktails on offer are Italian, of course, so don’t forget to order a Negroni, Amaretto Sour or Mimosa to accompany your meal. If you’re more of a wine drinker, one the other hand, the Italian wine list is full to the brim with choices, and the gin and tonic menu doesn’t disappoint either.
