Brother Marcus is adding another branch to its family tree by heading west to South Kensington. Created by three best friends, Arthur, Alex, and Tas, Brother Marcus has become brunch royalty and is now gracing west London with its offering of eastern Mediterranean food. The three friends found a love for Mediterranean food when travelling the region and experiencing it first hand, and now they are sharing their passion for flavour in four different sites across the capital.
While the specific Kensington menus haven't been released, we're expecting a similar vibe to the other locations. At brunch, the team take the classic full English and give it a Mediterranean makeover with the addition of Merguez sausage, fattoush salad and a fluffy pita to mop up the house beans. Guests can also experience Mediterranean delights like harissa eggs and smoky shakshuka. Why not turn your weekend brunch into a real party by adding 90 minutes of bottomless prosecco, bloody marys, bellinis, mimosa and beers?
From lunchtime onwards, the team serve up a mixture of brunch classics as well as the normal dinner menu. If you're feeling adventurous, guests can hand their dining experience over to Marcus; the team will take control and curate something special just for you.
At dinner time, you can start off with simple classics like black garlic houmous and team it up with a fluffy za'atar pita for dipping or perhaps you'll opt for the more complex offering of cod roe taramasalata with olives and pickled red onion. In a traditional sense, the menu is laid out as a mezze of dishes suitable for sharing among the table; feast on salads, Greek cheeses, fish dishes and grilled kofta. Just make sure to leave room for dessert as you can't miss out on the Baklava sandwich, served with Greek yoghurt and a pistachio ice cream.
