Brasserie Blanc is a large chain of French restaurants with 14 branches across England. The restaurant’s vision and menus are inspired and guided by celebrity chef Raymond Blanc, who often shares the experiences behind his recommended dishes.
Brasserie Blanc Milton Keynes has received some positive acclaim from the local press who have heralded this venue as one of the best French restaurants in the area. Opening hours run from 10am until 11pm from Monday to Friday, 9am until 11pm on Saturdays and 10am until 10pm on Sundays.
The building has a modern façade, with ceiling to floor windows to allow for lots of natural light. Inside, there are some aesthetically pleasing design features such as monochrome chequered flooring and a statement, well-stocked bar. The interior is hued in a deep blue, complemented by dark wooden furnishings and architectural lighting.
The a la carte menu mixes French classics such as baked Saint-Marcellin cheese with truffled honey and bread, alongside potted Cornish crab with avocado guacamole and smoked pork belly with apple and crackling. There’s a whole section for steak enthusiasts, with four choices of grass-fed, ethically reared British beef which has been chosen by Aubrey Allen, the Queen’s butcher.
The dessert menu features six after-dinner options, some sweet and some savoury. Those with a sweet tooth might enjoy the sticky toffee pudding or pistachio soufflé, but there’s also a selection of French and English cheeses. If guests aren’t in the mood for a full pudding, though, a trio of chocolate truffles acts as a mid-way point, especially when paired with a coffee or dessert cocktail.
