Altrincham is one of the few locations where you’ll find a Blanchflower, a unique fusion of bakery and kitchen. The menu changes between day and night, with many of the products freshly made in house — from freshly baked bread and pastries to delectable cakes, tarts, and puddings, everything is carefully prepared by the skilled artisans. The team even make their own butter and fresh cheese, cure an assortment of meats including pork, beef, and salmon, and ferment and pickle an assortment of vegetables. So you can be sure that whatever you order will be deliciously fresh. The restaurant is open from 9am every day, except for Sunday when it opens half an hour later. On the weekend Blanchflower closes at 5pm, and 4.30pm during the week.
Food is served in five courses, and the menus change with the seasons. Expect to find dishes like the sticky hoisin pulled pork burger and weekend specials of smoked haddock fishcakes with poached hen's eggs, tartar hollandaise, pickled fennel, crispy artichokes with a chive and citrus oil. From the bakery, enjoy big cruffins with a variety of fillings, fig and marmalade bakewell slices and brûléed plum danish with plum and orange compote and bay leaf creme pat. At breakfast you'll find classic dishes with sweetcorn fritters, free range poached eggs, crushed chilli avocado and baby spinach, with maple cured salmon and toasted seeds.
