Inside the Malmaison Liverpool, you'll find the Malmaison Bar & Grill, a stylish fusion grill restaurant that serves high-quality food with seasonal twists. Dining dockside here is a fantastic experience, in a luxurious yet relaxed setting, led by a team of skilled chefs.
The menu begins with little kick starts, including crispy potato pave with truffle mayonnaise and parmesan, and freshly baked brioche served with whipped and smoked butter. For your starter try the pea and watercress soup, beetroot and gin-cured salmon with pickled cucumber and dill mayonnaise or the beef fillet carpaccio and steak tartare with pickled wild mushroom and silverskin onions. If you fancy a light bite order the classic Caesar salad with gem lettuce, boiled Burford brown eggs, smoked anchovies, sourdough croutons and parmesan, and choose to add on grilled salmon, tiger prawns or chicken breast.
The restaurant has its very own Josper grill, to deliver an incredible charcoal flavour to dishes. Try the grass-fed New York strip with roasted roscoff onion, bone-in ribeye or mighty t-bone. On the side, try the cauliflower cheese with brown butter and crispy kale, and the tenderstem broccoli in black garlic and lemon. When it comes to sauces for your steak or grilled half chicken, we'd choose the rich gorgonzola butter. There are a few pasta dishes to choose from, including a charred leek carbonara pappardelle with creme fraiche and pecorino and pork cheek ragu with parmesan.
For dessert, you'll have choices of a creme brulee and baked cookie dough with vanilla ice cream, along with sticky toffee pudding with toffee sauce and milk ice cream, and a baked cheesecake with seasonal fruit compote. If you like a savoury finish to your meal, opt for the cheese plate with artisan cheese, chutney, quince and crackers.
