Ballers is a brand that leads with a simple yet important approach to pizza - based on quality ingredients, combined with skill and flair. Pizza bases are made with slowly fermented sourdough, topped with San Marzano tomatoes and fior di latte mozzarella. The restaurant can be found on Clear Water Way in Cardiff, in the Amber Vista development. The first dine in restaurant from the brand, this restaurant showcases a developed menu whilst retaining some of the original pizzas from the first menu, including the house favourite (El Diablo).
This is the perfect place to visit if you're looking for somewhere to enjoy great pizzas with fantastic sides, craft beers, signature cocktails and plenty more. Takeaway only is served from the Heath location, and is open from Wednesday through to Sunday.Start with some croquettas of the day, along with stuffed mushrooms filled with spinach, goats cheese, onion, truffle honey and manchego (delicious!) Also on the small plates menu is fried dough, along with gordal olives, padron peppers and filthy bravas with tomato, burrata and sobrasada. When it comes to pizzas, of course there is the classic margherita with tomato, mozzarella, fresh basil oil and olive oil, but then there are the others, some really tasty additions.
Try the spicy with cashew cream, spiced butternut squash, oregano and candied chilli, or the Ballers' calzone filled with mozzarella, ricotta, sobrasada, chorizo, salchichon and lomo. If you want to level up your meal, add some garlic bread with mozzarella, or some dips like the honey mustard. Finish things off with a Biscoff tiramisu with mascarpone, salted caramel and amaretto liquor, or the bunuelos, which are dusted in cinnamon sugar and served with chocolate orange ice cream.
