Head to Babel Cheltenham for after-work drinks with friends, business meetings or family get-togethers – it’s the place to socialise in a relaxed, informal environment with all the perks of a trendy spot. The buzzy restaurant brings bright and bold pops of colour with its modern décor and a comfortable but classy ambience to the place. The bar is a feature in itself, with a vibrant mural and minimalist metal shelves full of bottles. On warmer days, you can sit outside and enjoy the terrace.
Open from 11 ‘til late in the Brewery Quarter in Cheltenham’s town centre, Babel gives diners a chance to grab a meal and have a great night out. The well-crafted food menu brings pub food together with healthier options for the carb conscious, all including unique twists. Whether you’re having a light brunch, a heartier meal, something for the kiddies or just a few snacks, each dish is made with fresh ingredients from trusted suppliers.
The restaurant prides itself in having an extensive drinks menu with over 20 premium gins, hand-picked wines, smoothies, and fresh juices, but the cocktail list is where Babel shines. With influences from around the globe, Babel’s cocktails include a mix of much-loved classics, a whole host of new recipes with wild additions and even a few non-alcoholic “temperance drinks”. Try a boozy Fraise 75 with strawberry gin shaken with lemon, strawberry nectar and topped with Prosecco. For lunch, pick something from the sandwich menu such as a cod fish finger sandwich or choose a dish from the all-day menu to share. Start with a small bite of cheddar and spring onion croquettes with horseradish mayonnaise. You can go for the traditional Babel beef burger for mains, but we also like the look of the filo tart with roast butternut, Danish blue, spinach, mushrooms, walnuts and a cranberry dressing. For an after-meal treat, dig into the layered cheesecake with citrus and honey comb.
Pop by Babel for the daily specials including £5 cocktails, double G&Ts for under a tenner and £20 Prosecco. At the weekend, tuck into the brunch special of a Babel big breakfast and Epic Bloody Mary for £12.50. Friday Fizz is on from 5 to 8pm, so enjoy 50% off Prosecco and Champagne and pair it with live music every Friday and Saturday night with the resident DJ spinning the decks.
