Angelica & Crafthouse is a British restaurant in Leeds from D&D London, the restaurant group also responsible for the well-respected likes of German Gymnasium, Coq d’Argent and 14 Hills. It’s located across levels five and six of Leed’s smart shopping centre Trinity. Its lofty position allows for terrific views, but there’s plenty to look at inside, too, with leafy plants and foliage dotted around the stylishly dressed dining room.
The bar is pretty as a picture too, thanks to a long, marble splashed counter top and countless bottles of premium spirits on show. In the centre, meanwhile, stands a sprawling tree perfect for snapping picture-perfect shots for Instagram. Angelica & Crafthouse offers somewhere special for multiple occasions, from dates to large celebrations, sophisticated dinners and evening drinks. If you're looking for somewhere to host your friends and family, check out the private dining options with a sophisticated glass room off the main restaurant catering for up to 20 people, while exclusive hire of both floors is available for up to 400 people.
As for the food, Angelica & Crafthouse is all about the best of British, with the chefs proudly working with farmers and growers across Yorkshire to source seasonal ingredients that are reflective of the surrounding landscapes. On the website, you'll find options such as the a la carte menu, alongside a set menu, Sunday roast and Afternoon Tea. For an idea of what to expect, the a la carte offers starters such as Hereford beef tartare with smoked egg yolk and melba toast, alongside mains like braised pork shoulder, champ potato purée, grilled cabbage and quince jus, or cuts from the josper grill like rump, fillet or ribeye, with sides like triple-cooked chips and roasted heritage carrots. Dessert looks like baked almond custard tart with poached rhubarb, rhubarb and rose sorbet, or a British cheese selection for those who don't have a sweet tooth.
