Music first and last
Run by a friendly mature group, the basement set-up works well, once you find the entrance. A fabulous lunchtime jazz session was fun and engaging, having sampled the performer's skill via the www. The setting suggests 'laid back', or a little shabby without the chic, where evidently its primary existence is for the performance. For those who wish to converse, it is suggested retiring to the bar post meal, which for us was a Sunday roast chicken which was served to my liking and proved tender and tasty. Truthfully, I'd go back for the entertainment expecting uncomplicated food from a simple menu which would probably be good.
