Glamorous, bold and full of drama, The Wolseley City bears the same stylish hallmarks as its sibling, the original in Piccadilly. This branch sits on the entranceway to The City, in a perfect location connecting east and central London.
Similarly to its predecessor, The Wolseley City finds its home within a beautiful, historic building, formerly a bank built in the 1920s. Architectural features include a distinguished steel and Portland stone façade, topped with a copper-domed stone cupola, and inside, you'll find lots of nods to the Piccadilly site with Byzantine-style chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and a reinterpretation of the vaulted ceiling and grand pillars.
At The Wolseley City you'll find a large dining room, three bars and two private dining rooms, perfectly located for a special occasion. The private dining space can host either 24 guests as a whole or can be broken into two, for nine and 12 guests instead. These options are available seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner bookings.
If planning a birthday meal, anniversary or surprise dinner, the team can provide stunning floral decorations, a cake for the occasion, personalised menus and place cards and even your own dedicated events co-ordinator. Whereas, if you're booking the space for an important client meeting, stylish and discreet Samsung ‘The Frame’ monitors mean you can flick through a presentation easily and with flair.
To make planning a little easier, The Wolseley City team have pre-prepared a selection of private dining menus for you to choose from. For example, the canapes selection includes the likes of smoked mackerel, apple and horseradish tart alongside beef short-rib bon-bons, with sweet options like chocolate and salted caramel delice. For lunches and dinners there's a selection of menus with different culinary options and price points, from mains of homemade gnocci to roast fillet of halibut ‘Grenobloise’, depending on your tastes.
