The Lansdowne Club is an esteemed private members club with roots going back to 1763 located in London's prestigious Berkeley Square. For members, it's a place to socialise and network, as well as enjoy luxurious facilities like hotel bedrooms and a state-of-the-art gym, swimming pool and interest groups, covering everything from dancing to gardening.
If you're looking for a special place to host an event, be it a corporate function, birthday party or even a wedding, The Lansdowne Club has a selection of spaces at your disposal. Perhaps the most impressive space is the Ballroom and Long Gallery, originally designed by the neoclassical architect Robert Adam as a library and later remodelled by George Dance and Robert Smirke.
The space is absolutely stunning with a huge, classically barrelled ceiling studded with 24-carat gold leaf, complemented by opulent minstrel galleries and rows of ornate archways. With signature oak flooring and a balconied mezzanine, it's no wonder that it is Grade II Listed. For a ball, huge party or a wedding, the Long Gallery is an obvious choice.
For a more intimate affair such as a private dinner, The Shelburne Room is ideally arranged for a central dining table. Here, in the calming, baby-blue hued space, you can host between 20 and 80 guests. It's possible to reconfigure the space to suit your needs, as well as add tablescaping decor or decorations to match the occasion.
Or, if planning a corporate event or important client meeting, The Lansdowne Club also boasts a selection of meeting rooms such as The Sun Room which is known for its Art Deco design and richly-toned wall panelling. With huge windows, this room benefits from lots of natural light as well as up to date technology and equipment.
