Armoury House of the Honourable Artillery Company is a beautiful, 16th century building with a Kentish flagstone façade, opulent columned entrance and an impressive five acres of surrounding greenery. While, on pictures, it looks like a country estate, this stunning venue is actually located near Old Street in east London, back from the main roads and protected from the hustle and bustle of the city.
If you’re looking for a place full of character to hold a special dinner or event, the HAC is very happy to host you in one of its private dining spaces. There are six rooms to choose from, the largest of which can seat 400 people, while the smallest is a great space for intimate gatherings, seating just 12.
The HAC have their own preferred catering company to work with, Searcys, and together they can plan a menu which focuses on seasonal produce sourced as locally as possible and cooked fresh on-site. An example of the latest private dining menu features choices such as king scallops, black pudding, parsnip, cider and pea puree to start, slow cooked duck leg with smoked duck lentil cake, broccoli and shallots for mains, and finally, espresso crème caramel with pistachio and biscotti for dessert. There are plenty of choices for each course, but if you have a specific idea in mind, the team are happy to work on a bespoke menu for your event. Equally, you’re welcome to choose from an extensive wine list and imaginative selection of cocktails, but the in-house mixologists also love creating something special such as a welcome drink or signature cocktail for the night.
