Christmas is the time of year to come together and celebrate much-loved traditions, which are made all the sweeter in a beautiful building to give you that festive feeling.
The Honourable Artillery Company’s Armoury House was built in the 16th century and has a stunning façade comprised of golden Kentish flagstone, surrounded by five acres of greenery. Originally this site was an Army Reserve, but it is now also a charity and membership club, but the building is available for hire for events, weddings and, thankfully, Christmas parties – which should make this annual task a whole lot easier.
The HAC is passionate about its festive offering and transforms its events spaces every year with a different theme, turning the entire building into a ‘winter wonderland’. Previous years have seen the rooms turn into a Victorian Circus, the land of Narnia and the roaring ‘20s.
There are seven spaces in total, the largest is the Prince Consort Rooms which can cater for up to 700 people standing and 350 seated, while more intimate affairs would suit the Queens Room which can seat a group of 40, or even the Medal Room, which seats 14. The HAC work with catering service Searcys to put together a Christmas menu which is dictated by seasonal produce, sourced as locally as possible, and cooked on-site by the in-house chefs.
If, however, you have your own ideas for a décor theme or the menu, simply contact the team and they’ll be more than happy to discuss a bespoke package just for you.
