The Princess of Shoreditch is a pub and restaurant in East London serving seasonal British menus alongside a wine list focused around small, family-owned producers. Tucked blissfully away from the main hubbub of Shoreditch, the 18th-century venue is split across two floors, with the main pub on the ground floor and an elegant dining room upstairs. The dining room can accommodate up to 28 guests and is available to hire for a private dinner, perfect if you’re looking to host a medium or large event centred around exceptional food and drink.
The dining room is a cosy space that transitions seamlessly from day to night. During the day, large arched windows flood the room with natural light, while in the evening gold lighting illuminates the room with a dusky glow. Wooden flooring, a marble fireplace and a large gold-framed mirror add to the grand yet traditional feel.
The menus at The Princess of Shoreditch revolve around the finest British produce and change with the seasons. While the team will work with you to create the perfect menu for your private dining event, examples of dishes you might expect to try include beef tartare with mustard, egg yolk and confit shallots, followed by sirloin of beef with aubergine, asparagus, beef potatoes and bordelaise sauce. To finish, expect seasonal sweet dishes such as strawberry and basil souffle with crème fraiche sorbet.
The wine list features bottles sourced exclusively from family-owned wineries and small producers, to help support independent businesses while also encouraging the diner to discover something they’ve never tried before. Although it focuses heavily on reds and whites from around the world, you’ll also find a small selection of roses and orange wines, alongside sparkling and sweet wines.
