South Place Hotel boasts a wide range of sophisticated private dining spaces from top to bottom, with a variety of large and small areas that can host anything from casual lunch catch-ups to celebration dinners and corporate functions.
We would be remiss not to mention Angler - the superb Michelin-starred restaurant perched on the hotel’s top floor. The restaurant is available for exclusive private hire, but it also has a 14-seater chef’s table complete with views out over London and a window into the kitchen.
Starting with the largest private dining space in the hotel, the Purdey & Steed rooms can be combined to make a single, spacious, well-lit function room, with capacity for 100 seated guests or up to 200 for a standing canape reception or similar. With touch panel mood lighting, and a full AV suite including drop down screen and projector, it’s extremely well set up for speeches and other functions too.
Meanwhile, Kuryakin is the most striking room, decked out in scarlet with a round lacquered table at its centre. This is ideal for more intimate, fun private dinners of up to 20 guests. Or, why not check out Peel - a similar size room that swaps the bright red for calm ivory and a wall of delicate silver birch trees.
The Solo room also seats 20, but has a unique calling card at its centre - a bespoke table that transforms into a billiards table, for pre- and post-dinner entertainment. Last but not least, South Place Hotel’s secret garden is available for private hire too, with capacity for 80 guests under its retractable roof. Heaters and blankets are also available in the colder months.
