Riding House Fitzrovia is the original restaurant from Riding House Cafes, a series of neighbourhood institutions known for its trendy interiors, welcoming vibe and epic brunch menus! Boasting multiple private dining options for both intimate occasions and big celebratory feasts, as well as a host of group menus, this modern brasserie is perfect for those looking to celebrate an occasion with great food and drink.
Its private dining room – aka The Old Stables – describes itself as ‘somewhere between a hunting lodge and horsebox’, designed to provide guests with a small taste of the countryside. It’s situated downstairs, beneath the hubbub of the main restaurant, and represents something similar to a horse's stables thanks to wood-clad walls, fake windows revealing paintings of horses, and a corrugated iron ceiling. There are also plenty of plush touches too, including comfortable seating, bright spotlights and a fake fireplace. Able to host up to 14 guests, this unique space is a great spot for meetings, family dinners and birthdays.
For larger groups, the restaurant can seat parties of up to 21 around a large sharing table in the main dining room. While for something even grander, the main restaurant can be hired for up to 55 seated guests.
For smaller gatherings, a three-course menu is available for parties of 14 guests or less. Here, guests can choose a starter, main and dessert from a host of global plates. Think salt cod fritters with citrus mayo to start, chana dal with coconut, root ginger, courgette and aubergine pickle and grilled flatbread for main course, and hot brioche doughnuts with milk jam for something sweet.
The feasting menu is better suited to larger parties, with all dishes designed to share and featuring plenty of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. There are also a range of drinks packages available for groups of 12 or more.
