About Brown's Hotel

Description

If you're looking for somewhere to host a private dinner in Mayfair, you're not exactly short of options, but few offer the same luxury and quintessential British cooking as Charlie's - the flagship restaurant at Brown's Hotel. This is, after all, a storied hotel that has hosted royalty, foreign dignitaries and other great Brits over the years; Alexander Graham Bell made London's first telephone call in this very building, and this is where Rudyard Kipling wrote The Jungle Book.

Brown's couldn't have picked a more suitable chef than Adam Byatt to oversee the food at Charlie's - Byatt has held a Michelin star for many years at Trinity in Clapham, and he's a great exponent of classic cooking. The menu at Charlie's evolves frequently as ingredients come in and out of season, and the team uses the best of the best local produce to create timeless British flavour combinations, with a modern slant. See, for example, calves' liver and bacon, and battered haddock with chips - both simple dishes, but prepared exquisitely.

You'll also see hints of Byatt's love for Spain and the Mediterranean as well, in starters like Puglian burrata with peach and basil, and chilled almond gazpacho with grapes and tarragon, as well as a majestic grilled sirloin steak with Cafe de Paris butter, snails and parsley.

Brown's Hotel has a number of private dining rooms available, ranging from the cost St George's room, up to the Roosevelt room, which hosts groups of up to 20. Each room features period details and elegant decor, whilst large windows provide lots of natural light, not to mention, outstanding food from Charlie's. Get in touch with the events team at Brown's Hotel today to discuss potential menus and more.
