Welcome to Childerley Hall, a labour of love that has been the result of nurturing over six decades by the Jenkins family. Nestled within four acres of stunning gardens, this estate is celebrated for its charming old fashioned roses, long lawns, a calming lake, and wonderfully restored Jacobean chapel. Steeped in history, Childerley Hall has even hosted the detainment of King Charles I.
For generations, visitors have been enchanted by the ambiance of Childerley, whilst the dedicated team has been busy planning memorable events for over ten years. One of the most important parts to the estate is the 19th century long barn, which was once a cutting edge modern farm building, and has now been transformed into a stunning yet relaxed venue suitable for parties, weddings, and a variety of events. So, if you’re looking for a private dining booking, then think of Childerley Long Barn, and make the scenic journey through the Cambridgeshire countryside, old orchards and along the glorious 1.5 mile private drive. Just fifteen minutes from Cambridge, Childerley is a perfect spot for private dining events. Providing a stunning yet informal setting for your next event, the team gives you access to the hall the day before your event so that you can make sure everything is perfect.
Although a small team, all those who work here are attentive and experienced. This timber framed barn is also thought to be one of the longest barns of its type in England. And, this space can happily accommodate anything from 60 to 180 guests, or, be a more intimate venue for 15, 30 or even 60 guests. For some fun after your dining, you can enjoy some garden games in the beautiful courtyard, and a drinks reception just outside.
