The sixth instalment of the popular plant-based restaurant group, Mildreds Victoria makes for a spectacular private dining occasion. Located at 128 Wilton Road, Mildreds Victoria follows in the footsteps of its vegan and vegetarian forebears in Soho, Covent Garden and east London. And like some of the other sites, private dining at Mildreds Victoria is a quirky, characterful affair.
It’s a large restaurant, with a maximum seated capacity of 100 guests - should you require exclusive hire for group dining - an outdoor terrace, and a semi-private area. The space sparkles with tastefully muted primary colours, textured banquette seating, and white brick walls that allow colourful artworks to take their rightful place on centre stage. It’s a cheerful atmosphere, suited to birthday celebrations in the 20-seater semi-private dining space, summertime graduation parties on the terrace, and big birthday blowouts deserving of exclusive venue hire.
The private dining menu at Mildreds is, understandably, a plant-based occasion - but don’t expect it to be a dull one. The all-day menu at Mildreds is renowned for its inventive vibrant veggie dishes and international flavours. Begin with plates of rainbow pickles, salsa macha hummus with candied pine nuts, taktouka whipped mascarpone with a Moroccan roast pepper salad, before moving on to a selection of small plates of patatas bravas and arancini.
Just don’t fill up too quickly, the selection of larger plates and bowls, with a selection of breads and sides should not be overlooked. Guests can sample dishes like stir-fried tempeh dan dan noodles or kiri hodi - a colourful display of Sri Lankan coconut curry served with lemon chana pilau and toasted cashew sev. And of course, the necessary elements of any celebration, are present and correct in the form of inventive mocktails and cocktails including a summery lychee and rose Martini and an alcohol-free sakura pomegranate Cosmo.
