Mc & Sons opened in spring, 2023, bringing authentic Irish spirit and Thai cuisine to Vauxhall. Located just a stone's throw from the station, it's an easy journey for guests if you're looking for somewhere relaxed and laid back, with plenty of charm, for your next event.
While the website doesn't share any details on a private dining room persay, the team enthusiastically welcome group bookings, so simply give them a call to discuss booking a large table, section of the pub, or taking over the entire joint entirely. Inside, the vibe is rustic and brimming with history, as the decor features beautifully carved wooden panels and old-fashioned lamps, paired with green (of course!) velvet bar stools and hiddens nooks and corners.
Mc & Sons is particularly well loved for its live music nights which happen weekly. Then, the whole place is filled with typically Irish foot-tappers, no doubt inspiring a few patrons to try out their Lord of the Dance impression. If live music is something you like the sound of for your special event, why not talk to the team about arranging this with your booking? We're sure it would take your evening to the next level.
Catering is provided in-house, as Mc & Sons has developed a Thai street food menu, working with chefs hailing from Thailand themselves to deliver a truly authentic taste. The menu kicks off with a selection of small dishes and snacks which are perfect for sharing with the table. We like the sound of the crispy fried cauliflower bites coated in the house's secret marinade, alongside duck and spring onion rolls with Thai-style hoisin sauce and the mixed platter which includes vegetable spring rolls, chiang mai chicken or cauliflower, prawn toast, chicken satay, dumplings and prawn crackers. For mains, try out the classic pad thai, or perhaps the drunken noodles with tick rice noodles stir fried with egg, mixed vegetables, chicken, prawns and fresh chilli in an oyster sauce.
