Set amongst 25 acres of grounds in the Birmingham countryside, this Victorian hotel boasts a picturesque rural location while also retaining easy access to the city centre. The main building dates back to 1897 and, after undergoing a major renovation, still features its original red brick façade to create a charming and elegant entrance. It's an excellent choice for your next private dining event, with a wealth of spaces and menus to choose from.
The restaurant within the Hillscourt Hotel is available for hire in its entirety, ideal for a celebratory private meal, and can accommodate up to 85 guests for a relaxing sit-down dinner. Alternatively, you can keep it more casual with a buffet style function and host up to 200 guests in total. The space is comfortable and cosy with neutral tones, plentiful natural light and views of the garden.
For the meal itself, the menu features modern British cuisine centred around seasonal ingredients and familiar favourites. Dietary requirements can be catered for and there are both vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. If you’ll be opting for a three-course meal, you might enjoy the likes of a smoked chicken Caesar salad or tomato, red pepper and basil soup to start. For the main event, try the roasted topside of beef with chasseur sauce or roasted butternut squash, pea and parmesan risotto, then finish with the chef’s selection of desserts.
To accompany your private meal, there is an international wine list featuring an array of reasonably priced bottles. There is also an extensive range of spirits, draught beer and a treasure trove of unique gins and tonics. For those not wanting to make the journey home at the end of the night, there are 54 ensuite bedrooms to retreat to once your meal is over.
