Goodman Restaurant is an American-style steakhouse in Canary Wharf located on the waterside, and within easy access of both Canary Wharf and Heron Quays stations. Whether you’re entertaining business associates, or celebrating an occasion, Goodman offers a beautiful private dining room and special group menus for a fantastic dinner.
The private dining room is an intimate space able to accommodate up to eight guests. Reflecting the retro-style interiors throughout the main restaurant, the room features red leather chairs, a butchers-style wooden table and floor-to-ceiling windows which flood the room with natural light. It also boasts sliding doors which make the space extra versatile. Keep them closed for an intimate gathering in a totally secluded space or open them up for large bookings of up to 30 guests, including use of the main dining room. There is no minimum spend for the room, and Goodman's group menus start at £85 per person.
There is a choice of three group menus available for private dining parties, all of which are designed to be enjoyed as a shared feast. Each are available at a variety of price points and include the ‘Classic’, the ‘Experience’ and the ‘Wagyu’. If you choose to enjoy the mid-range ‘Experience’ for example, starters include bluefin tuna tartare with oyster dressing, avocado and a cracker, Puglian burrata with nectarines, tarragon and hazelnuts, and Devon scallops with lemon, caper and dill butter. Main course centres around its Heritage breed steaks, all of which are served alongside a range of sides – think triple cooked chips, garlic mushrooms and mac and cheese. Pudding keeps things indulgent with chocolate pave served alongside praline ice cream, hazelnut and a sesame wafer.
Of course, wines feature heavily at Goodman, with an extensive list available. This particular site focuses on wines from Germany and lesser-known parts of Burgundy.
