Cumbria sits in the northwest of England, and is just against the Scottish Borders. The beautiful Lake District National Park lies fully within Cumbria's county, and for those travelling, the M6 motorway runs through. Within Cumbria you’ll find Hadrian's Wall, Morecambe Bay and the stunning Yorkshire Dales. Cumbria is famous for the arts, literature and culture scene, with the English poet William Wandsworth creating much of his best work here. Beatrix Potter made Cumbria her home, and it was inside her cottage in Far Sawrey that she created Peter Rabbit. Her estate was left to the National Trust, and today, visitors from all over the world visit.
