Como Garden is an Italian tapas bar on Kensington High Street inspired by the stunning landscape and cuisine of Lake Como. Boasting a menu of elegant Italian sharing dishes along with some of the most beautiful interiors in the city, this little slice of northern Italy in the heart of West London is a spectacular place to celebrate a special occasion with loved ones.
Perfect for larger groups, private dining options at Como Garden include exclusive hire of the main restaurant, which boasts a capacity of up to 50 guests. With a variety of seating options throughout the space, from snug semi-circular booths to sociable banquets and tables and chairs, the dining room is well-suited to social gatherings. Huge fake trees and walls dripping with ivy evoke the lush feel of Lake Como’s surrounding scenery – not to mention provide fantastic photo opportunities.
The menu is designed with a tapas-style of dining in mind and comprises a tempting selection of small and medium plates for sharing. The team recommends three to four dishes per person, so make sure to choose a selection so you can try as many as possible. Kick off with antipasti tapas, including things like fried zucchini, bruschetta, vitello tonnato and cheese arancini. Move on to a pasta course featuring malfadine with veal ragu, trofie with pesto and truffle and parmesan taglioni, before tucking into a selection of meat and fish plates – think grilled octopus with gremolata and roasted potatoes, chicken Milanese with fried egg and parmesan fondue and parmesan steak tartare. A set menu is also available if you can’t decide, while desserts feature tiramisu and a signature Como Fererro Roche.
The wine list is dominated by regions all over Italy, from Sardinian Vermentino to Barolo from the Piedmont region. You’ll also find a host of Italian and classic cocktails, while premium spirits, beers and mocktails are also part of the offering.
