Located in the heart of London in bustling St James’s, Café Murano is an Italian restaurant serving authentic fare in a relaxed setting. From celebrated chef Angela Hartnett, the Café Murano group now has three sites across London, where it serves traditional dishes from an ever changing seasonal menu. If you’re after a comfortable yet elegant setting for a business lunch, milestone celebration or dinner with family, Café Murano is sure to please.
The semi-private dining space at Café Murano is nestled at the rear of the restaurant, separated from the main dining room by glass panelled sliding doors. It features simple décor with soft lighting, a large feature mirror and long banquet seating which can accommodate up to 22 guests, with a minimum of eight required. A private meal here comes with step by step guidance from the events team to ensure your vision is brought to life and those all-important details are catered to, from accommodating dietary requirements to laying place cards at the table.
For the meal itself, Angela Hartnett has curated group dining options focused on Café Murano's signature dishes, all of which are served family style for an intimate and friendly affair. Choose two dishes from each course (up to five) and enjoy an authentic Italian feast. Begin with optional cicchetti snacks on arrival before diving into tasty antipasti like sea bream crudo with pepperoncino, fennel and orange, beef carpaccio with capers and 24-month parmesan, and beetroot with chard and gorgonzola. Primi dishes consist of gnocchi, risotto and homemade pasta with secondi offering hearty meat, fish and vegetable plates. Finish with a selection of cheeses, dolci, or both if you’re after a real treat.
Alongside your meal, there is an exclusively Italian wine list which highlights small independent vineyards as well as familiar favourites and reasonably priced bottles, so there’s something for every taste and budget.
