From critically acclaimed chef Angela Hartnett, Café Murano is a group of Italian neighbourhood eateries, specialising in serving traditional dishes made with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Located just five minutes from Covent Garden Station, this cosy spot has two private dining spaces, perfect for corporate meals, intimate celebrations and everything in between. The dedicated team will be on hand to ensure everything is taken care of, from helping you choose a menu and wine, to sorting complimentary place cards for each table setting.
The larger of the two private dining rooms is the first floor of the restaurant, which can accommodate up to 50 guests. The space features skylight windows affording plentiful natural light, its own private bar and reception area, and the capacity for a variety of configurations depending on your event. Smaller parties might be interested in the Pastaficio room, the pasta factory adjacent to Café Murano, which boasts its own dedicated entrance and reception area. This relaxed and intimate space has a rustic feel with pasta making equipment and artisanal flours along the shelves, and a long table which can seat up to 22 guests.
For your private meal, Angela Hartnett has curated a group dining menu which changes seasonally. Choose either a three, four or five course affair, selecting two options from each course, which will then be served sharing style so you can enjoy a bit of everything. Upon arrival, nibble on cichetti snacks like arancini, bruschetta, and lamb polpette, before trying antipasti like beef crudo with horseradish and watercress, and buffalo mozzarella with castelluccio lentils and marjoram. For the primi course, dig into pasta, risotto, and gnocchi, whilst the secondi offerings include hearty and authentic meat and fish dishes like porchetta with charred hispi.
To accompany your meal, pick a bottle or two off the exclusively Italian wine list which highlights independent vineyards, reasonably priced labels as well as revered vintages - perfect for a celebration.
