From celebrated chef Angela Hartnett, Café Murano is a neighbourhood Italian restaurant serving fresh, seasonal dishes in a relaxed setting. Hartnett grew to prominence whilst working under Gordon Ramsay before going solo and launching the Murano group. For your next private dining occasion, Café Murano is an excellent choice, offering a fully private space, dedicated group menus, and an events coordinator to assist with every aspect of your meal, right down to place cards and menus.
Nestled at the rear of the restaurant, the private dining room is an elegant space boasting minimalist décor including modern art, hanging lightbulbs and a long wooden table that can seat up to 14 guests. Available for hire throughout the day, this spot is ideal for business lunches, intimate celebrations and everything in between.
For the meal itself, you will have a choice between several dishes for each course, all of which change seasonally and are specially curated by chef Hartnett to showcase Café Murano’s signature and most popular dishes. The menu options vary in price and length so you’re sure to find a suitable option no matter your budget, style and occasion.
Enjoy antipasti such as beetroot with chard and gorgonzola, beef carpaccio with capers and 24 month parmesan, and sea bream with pepperoncino, fennel and orange, all available during the autumn months. The primi course consists of pasta, gnocchi and risotto dishes, followed by secondi meat and fish offerings like lamb neck stew with plum tomato, rosemary and orzo, place with lime caper butter and autumn greens, and porchetta with charred hispi cabbage and mustard fruit. Finish with dolce like tiramisu, pannacotta, and nougatine semifreddo, with the option to add a cheese course too.
To accompany your meal, there is an exclusively Italian wine list featuring several independent vineyards, as well as more familiar favourites. There are also classic and signature cocktails, should you prefer.
