Located inside the landmark building 55 Baker Street, Bright Courtyard Club is a contemporary Chinese restaurant from the well-established Shanghai Life Fashion Group. Since the opening of the popular first branch in Shanghai in 1997, Bright Courtyard Club has become renowned as one of the top destinations for authentic Chinese cookery, delivering traditional flavours with excellent quality produce. This is a luxurious and elegant private dining destination suited to intimate celebrations, impressive corporate meals and everything in between.
The space is modern with refined features and neutral tones, and includes two private dining suites which seat either eight or 20 people. For larger private dinners such as formal banquets, galas or company celebrations, consider hiring the glass-roofed courtyard lounge: a spacious area with a stunning glass ceiling that can accommodate up to 150 seated guests.
The menu showcases the best of Chinese cuisine from a range of provinces and, where possible, dishes are made with authentic imported Asian ingredients. For your private meal, a bespoke menu can be arranged to suit your specific needs, or stick with the extensive a la carte and you’ll be sure to find plenty of tantalising plates.
Sharing is encouraged at Bright Courtyard Club and the menu lends itself well to trying a bit of everything. Signature dishes include delights like braised pork belly per Grandma’s recipe, wasabi king prawns and crab roc tofu or keep it familiar with crispy aromatic duck, sweet and sour prawns or black cod. Dim sum features throughout with numerous fillings and dumpling styles available. Or, try the dim sum platter and take the stress out of choosing. There is a dedicated hot pot menu if you’d like to branch out, where you decide a base flavour, add a protein like British Angus beef, toppings like lotus root and rice cakes and finally a sauce for dipping. To accompany your private meal, there is a global wine list including Chinese rice wine, ginjo and sake for a truly traditional affair.
