Isn't it every Londoner's dream to find a real neighbourhood haunt? Well, sustainable eatery Bertie Blossoms says this is exactly how you could describe its charming little place in West London, with an enviable location in Notting Hill, right on Portobello Road.
Opened in 2019, the vibe here is all about sustainably-sourced, fresh food gathered from around the British Isles. The team are passionate about uplifting produce grown in the UK and love talking about their suppliers and farmers, with which they boast a transparant supply chain. From the outside, this petite restaurant has a gorgeously green facade, opening up into a small dining space and bar downstairs, and cosy lounge on a mezzanine upstairs.
The team love throwing parties here and a quick scroll through their Instagram shows off this fact nicely. Indeed, you can see on social media that everything has happened here from birthday parties where the bar staff are donning cowgirl hats, to chic wedding receptions, spilling out onto the street where in the summertime you'll find alfresco tables and chairs.
To find out more about availability, capacity and group booking menus, get in touch with the team. Speaking of food, the menu changes so regularly that you'll have to come in to see what's on offer, but another gander at Instagram shows off previous dishes - which look absolutely delicious. For example, get your chops around delica pumpkin, chanterelle and sage linguine, while past seasons saw the likes of grilled asparagus with confit egg yolk, asparagus cream and Parmesan grace Bertie Blossom's plates.
We love the sound of the cocktails, too, like the Bertie Blossoms twist on a Paloma and the oh-so-seasonal spiced pumpkin martini. While this restaurant is totally dedicated to great food, the team definitely don't scrimp on the drinks either!
