About University of Salford

The University of Salford has a range of great event venue buildings and spaces in Manchester, from the historic and charming to the most modern spaces in the city. Take The Old Fire Station, a charming building that is suitable for small conferences and events and has a main meeting room with space for up to 90 guests. If you're hosting an all day get together, you'll have use of the two breakout rooms and spacious conservatory, which are great settings for a buffet lunch or refreshment station.

The Peel Building, built in 1896 is the oldest Salford University events venue. Behind the impressive red brick facade is Peel Hall, a first-floor venue that can accommodate up to 300 people. It’s a Victorian concert hall, and a popular choice with those looking to host musical performances, shows and recordings. The New Adelphi is one of the university's newest event spaces, which opened in September 2016. This spacious building is home to the creative and performing arts students and has a range of state of the art facilities and equipment throughout its five floors - including performance areas, lecture theatres, exhibition spaces, a 350-seat theatre, rooftop cafe and bar.

If you’re looking to host a larger event The Maxwell Hall, set inside The Maxwell Building, can seat up to a thousand people with a large stage and changing rooms behind the scenes. There’s also a lower hall which is smaller and better suited to exhibitions. The Mary Seacole building is filled with high-spec working clinics and medical simulation facilities, making it a popular choice for scientific conferences and filming crews. The small spaces can be hired individually or combined for a larger capacity, complete with a 300-seat theatre. This is just the tip of the iceberg, there are four other impressive events venues at the University of Salford.
