Located in the heart of Manchester, The Royal Exchange Theatre is a space where breathtaking theatre takes place. But that's not all. This Grade II listed building has a range of beautiful settings for your next event, whether you're planning something small and intimate or have a large-scale shindig to put on.
The events team will work with you in order to find the perfect space where you can bring your vision to life, whether you want a space perfectly designed for a conference or would prefer an audition space that can be adapted to your needs. There’s great variety at The Royal Exchange. The main theatre is popular for those booking panel discussions, performances and conferences and comes with great sound, lighting and stage technicians along with technical ushers who can provide you with a list of respected suppliers for your AV options. It has a capacity of up to 400 guests, but it can be joined with the Front Room, Exchange Suite and Lounge for breakout sessions, workshops and green rooms. All kinds of events have taken place in The Theatre - from sing-alongs and fine dining dinners on the stage to book launches and tai chi.
The Front Room is a smaller space, with a room for up to 90 guests when standing, and views that overlook St Anns Square. Better still, The Front Room has its own toilet facilities and a bar, so you will have total privacy. Alternatively, look into The Exchange Suite. Complete with a beautiful rustic atmosphere it was the original boardroom of the Cotton Exchange and has retained its original oak panelling, along with its gorgeous sweeping staircase.
