Friends Meeting House Manchester

About Friends Meeting House Manchester

Friends’ Meeting House is a Quaker owned events, conference and meeting centre. 6 Mount Street in Manchester has been the home of the Quakers since 1795, and is a Grade II listed building with beauty, a fantastic atmosphere and all that you need to host a great event. Located just a short walk from St Peter's Square, and closeby to all of Manchester's railway stations, Friends' Meeting House is a fantastic option for hosts looking to welcome guests from around the country.

There are many event spaces here, including The Upper Hall, which is the venue's second largest space. You'll find that this room is a bit brighter than some of the others, and its small size gives it a cosy feel. There are plenty of plug sockets, and seating that can be set up in a variety of layouts. The Main Hall and Balconies are the venue's largest event spaces, with a capacity for around 300. Imagine the House of Commons, and you won't be too far away from how The Main Hall looks. The interior of the hall was redesigned in 1961, although the original 19th century beamed roof can still be seen through the windows.

There are options to rent just the floor of The Main Hall, which can be laid out in a theatre style or in cabaret format. The small pull out stage is perfect for speeches, presentations or a panel of speakers, and if your event is a little more informal, the space can be used as a dance floor. There are great amenities at Friends' Meeting House in Manchester, and you'll have the opportunity to rent AV equipment like a PA system, data projector and microphones.
