An 18th-century hunting lodge turned five-star hotel, The Vineyard tempts corporate groups with elegant event spaces.
It's a five star hotel near Newbury in Berkshire. Just an hour’s drive from central London, the building was originally an 18th century hunting lodge, owned by the Foley family until 1748. Since then it has been owned by a local clergyman in the mid 19th century, before being converted into flats in the 1960s and turned into a hotel in 1968. In 1996 it was purchased by Sir Peter Michael, one of the founders of Classic FM, who still owns and operates the hotel today.
The Vineyard is available to hire for a range of special occasions, from a birthday meal or intimate meeting, to an anniversary banquet. These are planned by the hotel’s events team, so you know you're in safe hands.
The California Suite is a large room for up to 160 seated guests, suited to conferences, catwalks and awards ceremonies. While the Oakville Suite can seat 100, and boasts its own private entrance for an extra exclusive feel. If you're after a smaller space, then the Atrium is its smallest room for up to 16 people around a central wooden table. This room would work best for meetings or private dinners.
A wide range of bedrooms and a chic spa are matched with a group-friendly destination restaurant (and a 30,000-bottle wine cellar). And if you'd like to stay the night after your visit, you can choose from a selection of boutique rooms complete with luxurious furnishings and modern facilities.
