London is heaving with events spaces but even so, it can be hard to find somewhere that ticks every box. Well, if you're looking for somewhere with plenty of space, a mix of period character and cool design and a prime location in the heart of East London, check out The Rum House.
Part of Jim & Tonic East, The Rum House is a three-storey venue which spans three separate spaces which can be used together or on their own. For drinks receptions, networking events or even office dos, the Prohibition Style Cocktail Bar offers character and charm. Here, your guests can step back in time and enjoy an expertly-mixed cocktail while they're at it.
For dinners, brand events, weddings and everything else in between, The Barrel Room is a great space to make your own. Designed to be flexible, this spacious area can adapt to almost any event, from intimate, cosy moments to corporate presentations. As its name suggests, this is the venue's barrel ageing area, a fact which is shown off proudly using a glass display. And, finally, especially in summer, your guests won't be able to hide their excitement at being let loose on The Rooftop Bar which has amazing views of the cityscape. You're invited to host work summer parties, birthdays, evening receptions or just drinks up here. When things get a little colder, the open flame gas heaters will keep you warm, as well as the wood burning fire pit.
Catering can be provided in house thanks to the venue's main restaurant, The Print House, but you'll have to chat to the events team to discuss all the details. There is, however, a drinks menu available online packed with signature cocktails such as the Explorer's Tipple with J&T London Dry Gin, apple, spiced pear syrup, citrus, egg white and Prosecco.
