Cool, city couples, we're looking at you! If you're on the hunt for a wedding venue as stylish as you are, The Rum House at Jim & Tonic East deserves your attention. If you're not yet familiar with Jim & Tonic East, this multi-hyphen venue spans a restaurant and bar, alfresco terrace, its own on-site distillery and a three-floor events venue, known as The Rum House.
This hip new spot recently opened in East London's Stratford and has a prime position on the banks of the river with gorgeous views. Not only that, it's easy to get to too, only a short walk from Pudding Mill Lane Station, which will be music to the ears of your guests - especially those coming from out of town. In terms of the space, The Rum House spans across three floors which can be hired individually or all together, leading your guests on a journey throughout the day. You could start your guests off in the ground floor cocktail bar which is an ideal place for enjoying drinks and canapes, while they socialise ahead of the wedding breakfast. What makes this place extra special is its prohibition era theme, inviting guests to step back in time.
Then, the most used area is The Barrel Room which is located on the first floor and gets its name from the in-house distillery, with this being the barrel ageing area. Its centrepiece is a glass frontage which shows off the barrels themselves, and the rest of the floorspace is highly versatile with options to host guests seated or standing, for canapes and drinks. Plus, if you plan on partying the night away, you can also opt in for a dance floor space, too.
Finally, The Rooftop Bar is a show-stopper and will no doubt impress your guests for some end of night tipples. This space is open air with incredible views of the cityscape, boasts a dedicated bar, open flame gas heaters, rooftop garden and a wood burning fire pit.
